In November 2022, the Diocese of Salford presented each school with a Catholic Social Teaching Award. They asked schools to present it to pupils in recognition for outstanding achievement in putting love into action.

As the Bible reminds us, “Let all that you do be done in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14). The ‘Caritas in Action’ award reflects the values that are central to our school, calling on all members of our community to work for the common good, seek justice, uphold the dignity of every person, and stand in solidarity with those most in need.

This award is a testament to the values which are important in our school and the Diocese of Salford, serving as a response to the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.

Each half term, our GIFT team, with the help of our whole school community, chooses a pupil/group of pupils in our school who have shown true commitment to putting their faith and love into action.
